It’s a series of 4k low distortion lenses for 1/1.8’’ image sensors such as IMX334, OS08A10, and offers various focal length options such as 4mm, 5mm, 8mm, 12mm, 16mm and 25mm,35mm, 50mm, 70mm. The larger the focal length, the smaller the field of view and the lower the lens distortion. Take CH168. It captures 15.6 degrees horizontal field of view and the TV distortion is down to -0.05%. The lens structures are either all glass or glass and plastic elements. To reduce optical aberration, some of the lenses even include aspheric lenses. An aspheric lens is a lens whose surface profiles are not portions of a sphere or cylinder. In photography, a lens assembly that includes an aspheric element is often called an aspherical lens. Compared to a simple lens, the more complex surface profile of an asphere can reduce or eliminate spherical aberration, as well as other optical aberrations such as astigmatism. A single aspheric lens can often replace a more complex multi-lens system.
