CH3617 is a low distortion lens with M12 mount, mainly used for scanning. It is designed to support small size senors with 1/4’’ format as maximum. The main feature of this lens is that it provides a wide view angle of up to 93.6 degrees with only -1.5% TV distortion.The 16.36mm long length body enable this lens to be installed in small spaces.

This compact lens can be a great part for various of Barcode scanners. Barcode scanners record and translate barcodes from the image you recognize into alphanumeric digits.The scanner then sends that information along to a computer database. Those digits refer to a particular item, and scanning the numbers and bars pulls up an entry in the database with further information such as the price, how many of this item in stock. Lenses as a integral part of scanners read barcoded objects as the items pass by at high speeds with great accuracy.  Scanners with a good scanning lens can be powerful tools to save time, reduce labor costs and worker errors, improve inventory control, and offer better customer service with instant visibility and item-level awareness.
