Umsebenzi oyinhloko wamalensi e-microscope ezimboni ukukhulisa izinto ezincane nokwenza imininingwane yazo ibonakale ngokucacile, okuyinto elula ukuyibona, ukuhlaziya kanye nokulinganisa. Imisebenzi ethile ihlanganisa:

(1) Ukuhlukaniswa ngokwesandiso
Ilensi enamandla aphansi: Ukukhulisa ngokuvamile kuba phakathi kuka-1x-10x, okufanelekela ukubuka izinto ezinkulu noma izakhiwo eziphelele.
Ilensi enamandla aphakathi: Ukukhulisa kuphakathi kuka-10x-50x, okufanelekelayo ukubuka imininingwane yobukhulu obuphakathi.
Ilensi enamandla aphezulu: Ukukhulisa kuphakathi kuka-50x-1000x noma ngaphezulu, kufaneleka ukubheka imininingwane emincane noma izakhiwo ezincane kakhulu.

Ilensi ye-Fluorescence: isetshenziselwa ukubona amasampula anelebula elikhanyayo, ngokuvamile asetshenziswa emkhakheni wezokwelapha.
Ilensi ye-infrared: esetshenziselwa ukubheka ngaphansi kokukhanya kwe-infrared, efanelekile ekuhlaziyeni izinto ezikhethekile.
